Christie for President?

Will he or won’t he? New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has repeatedly said he’s not running for president, yet the GOP faithful continue to beg.

Will he or won’t he? New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has repeatedly said he’s not running for president, yet the GOP faithful continue to beg the Garden State Republican to jump in and save them from their slate of lackluster candidates.

If Christie does run and win, I certainly hope he has a good, reasonable running mate.  The stress of being President combined with his weight might be very bad for Christie’s health.

Although I disagree with much of Christie’s record as governor and his frequently bullying behavior, he’s one of the few high-profile Republicans I can respect. He’s very conservative, but he isn’t a bat-shit crazy ayatollah, and he demonstrated his low tolerance for those who are when defending his nomination of Sohail Mohammed to the bench. He opposes marriage equality and is anti-choice, but I don’t know if those are on religious grounds or not.

If he runs, I’m curious to know what the Republican rank-and-file will think of a candidate who will hold elected office for only 2 years when the primaries start. One of their complaints about candidate Obama was that he was a U.S. Senator for only 4 years and a State Senator for 4 years.

That is my thoughts 100%! Run Chris Run!!! BUT also run for Jenny Craig also or the stress will be a killer with your weight!!!!

Can we skip this nonsense already? The right whines that their bumper crop of politicians aren’t rightwing enough. They clamour for some newcomer as their messiah. Messiah enters race and is systematically picked apart as not being Conservative enough. *Yawn*
