BP Oil Spill – One Year Later

One year ago, the Deepwater Horizon oil rig exploded in the Gulf of Mexico, eventually leaking two-and-a-half million gallons of oil a day into the surrounding waters. More than 200 million gallons were leaked into the Gulf before it was all said and done.

During the nearly three months it took to shut down the well, cartoonists responded to every breaking detail with their own unique brand of indignation and satire.

Take a look back at the best cartoons drawn about the disaster in the gulf with our BP Oil Spill – One Year Later cartoon collection.
