I love those little lemmings who all commit mass-suicide by leaping off of cliffs in the Arctic. The lemmings metaphor is a standard for editorial cartoonists and I’ve drawn them a few times myself. Here is today’s cartoon with the Republican elephants running off of the TrumpCare cliff.

The Clinton Foundation

Now, as I’m looking at this “Clinton Foundation” cartoon I notice that I signed it TWICE as “DarylCagle.com”. That’s a ridiculous mistake that I’ve never made before.

There have been quite a few “crumbling foundation” cartoons about Hillary – I’m just another dog in the pack – except I’ve got TWO signatures. Try to beat THAT.

Here you can see me drawing this one, with my 4H pencils on Seth-Cole Dura-Lene paper. Really. It is pencil. Really.

Love Those Lemmings

Lemmings are an evergreen concept for an editorial cartoons. Â Here’s my latest lemming cartoon, about Obama and the Dems pushing for a health care plan. Â First, the rough sketch:

Then I do a nice finished line drawing on a overlay, which is what most readers see in the newspaper.

… And then I color it for the web and the minority of newspapers that print political cartoons in color.

Here’s a lemmings cartoon I drew about the housing crisis …

I learned that people love lemmings all around the world -sometimes people love lemmings a little too much. Â After I drew the graduation lemmings cartoon, the cartoon was plagiarized by cartoonistÂ Ali al-GhamdiÂ for a major newspaper in Saudi Arabia, the Alwatan.
