Five Funny Biden Gaffe Cartoons

Biden Alert! Speaking about the Obama administration’s foreign policy at New York University, Vice President delivered a snicker-worthy line when he said, “I promise you, the president has a big stick.”

The former Delaware senator is known for flubs of the tongue. He also got some laughs when he described Obama’s decisiveness, telling the audience, “This guy’s got a backbone like a ramrod. For real. For real.”

Here are five funny cartoon from our archives about Biden’s tendency to say the wrong thing at the wrong time.

Biden's gaffes are funny…and harmless. It gives liberal-haters something to protest.
Romney's gaffes reveal how out of touch he is….it gives liberals something to protest.

Without gaffes, we would never know what people are thinking in a world of fabricated appearances like the political theater. But not all gaffes are merely amusing. Gaffes reveal what is on a politicians's mind, and sometimes that is funny and sometimes it is horrifying.

I saw the speech on C-SPAN this AM, and I saw no gaffes. Sure, the college kids laughed at the "big stick" remark, probably because they didn't understand the famous TR quote that Biden alluded to before, and thought it was "dirty.". It was obvious that he wasn't playing it for laughs.

Neither was his "backbone like a ramrod" remark, we he had used at least once before back in January, before an adult audience.

I am not even a Democrat (nor a neoconservative), but if anyone in the GOP thinks Biden is a lightweight on the campaign trail, they better think again. I haven't seen his other speeches in this series, but on foreign affairs and national defense, he just ripped Romney "a new one."

Does anyone remember the guy who shouted, "Liar," during Obama's first State of the Union address? That's where I see Rodney Dangermouth or whatever you called it. Keep on bashing Biden. It will just add to his strength. Those of you who do nothing but criticize really show ignorance and character weak enough to by into what's in the air at the time.

I understood the T. Roosevelt remark perfectly well, and in fact use it a lot in everyday speech, but anyone with a sense of humor has to admit it's pretty funny. I'm in my fifties, female, and not particularly dirty minded, but come on!

Mr. Biden demonstrates that there is no basement for intelligence in politics, and he has reached the subbasement on so many occasions, that we are inured to his gaffes. It would all be good theater were it not for the fact that Mr. Biden is Vice President and as the adage goes, "just a heartbeat away from the Presidency." One can only hope that there might be a surprise in the works, bringing Ms Clinton into the job for the second term. However, the possibility of Mr. Biden exchanging seats with Ms Clinton, brings the possibilities of major issues.

Ahahaha!! *pfffft*
Ok, sorry. Biden's gaffes are just funny and perhaps immature. However, Romney gaffes show something much, much worse…..
