Palin's Target Cartoons

Sarah Palin has gotten into hot water in some circles for her infamous ‘crosshairs’ map, which targeted legislators who voted for Obama’s health care bill. Her people claim that they are merely “surveyor symbols.” Regardless, cartoonists have formed their own opinions, and you can check out what they think in our new Palin’s Target cartoon slideshow.

Bill,
I think lock and load means the same as President Obama's statement, "If they bring a knife, we'll bring a gun!"

As much as I loathe Sarah Palin and think her "blood libel" statement is obscenely inapt, I think it's wrong to blame her for the actions in Tucson.

Daryl: Could you do a cartoon called the "the Retaking of America"

Draw the Gates of Hell
The Gate Keepers are Rush Limbugh, Palin, Hannity, Bohner with big smiles like Loughner's picture
Palin is talking out of 2 sides of her mouth…."I Love Money, I mean this Country" "Fix'n for some Tea?"
The stone path has these things written on it:
Greed, Ignorance, Lies, Deceit, Hatred, Prejudice, Pride, Violence, Fame, Money, Self-Indulgence, Delusional Thinking.
All the things that the Gate Keepers of Hell aspire to and want for our country.
People are walking to the "Gates of Hell" as they believe the Gate Keepers.

I don't blame Palin for the Tucson shooting, but she can't deny her rethorics is inflamatory and intentionally so. She speaks to people who respond better to such rethorics and instead of toning it down she ups it three or four notches. The crosshair map is a triger even if none has pulled it yet. It was pointed out long before the recent events, and it could have been one more straw on the camel's hump. So the camel is still standing, a bit gingerly but it does, much of what she says should have rremained unspoken at least by a public figure.

The fact that Palin did not directly influence the Tucson shooter and the fact that she got exactly what she wanted are not incompatible assertions.

I doubt if any thinking person takes Sarah Palan seriously, but now, the mentally deranged, that's a different situation. So, how do we control the damage? Obviously, stop giving guns to these mentally deranged people.
